Yes, we would love that!

What is the difference between Friends and Young Friends?

Young Friends is made up of young professionals (mid-twenties to mid-forties) with events and meetings taking place after 5:00 PM and on the weekends. Friends events typically occur during the day with a few events in the late afternoon or evening.

We do ask for annual dues of $80.00 (per individual). Please see the main page for all membership payment options.

What do the dues pay for?

Dues are used to support our annual operating costs which fund our family activities and group events for the Friends.

Are there other costs throughout the year?

None required; however, some of our events depend on additional donations (in-kind and/or monetary) from members for things such as food, paper goods or more. Additional donations are voluntary and strictly up to each member’s ability and desire to contribute.

Once you join you will be begin receiving our monthly Friends newsletter which will inform you on meetings, events and other pertinent information. You will also receive our volunteer newsletter which will alert you to any upcoming volunteer opportunities with our special events and other programs throughout the year.

Friends meet monthly except for the months of June, July, August and December.

What do I do if I work?

We have evening meetings as well as morning meetings, so you can attend either depending on your preference and availability. If you cannot attend a meeting, you can obtain information from the newsletter. Family Dinners and Birthday Parties also take place in the late afternoon or early evening and a few weekends.

What kind of social events do Friends get involved in?

Social events vary each year based on the group’s preference. Examples include: family birthday parties, Mother’s/Father’s Day events, dinner meetings, membership events, and Ronald McDonald House Houston special events such as galas, luncheons, fun runs, and golf tournaments.
